Hey, I’m Vedika

Born on International Dance Day (29.04.96) and training as a dancer since the age of 3; I was bound to end up as a professional in this field.
I started my dance journey with Ballet and Bharatnatyam and like every kid in Indian households, each gathering turned into a single participant talent show. I’ve always enjoyed performing but embracing myself onscreen took time. I was born with a cleft lip and I first spoke about it openly on a public platform in 2019 through a Bom Squad women’s day campaign and then on Humans of Bombay in 2021. I used to be wary of the way I looked & of facing the camera. But today, I’m a professional dancer & the heroine of my own film. My journey as an artist has contributed to my confidence, self-love and the person I am today, and so I never take doing what I love for granted.

I’ve had the privilege to live and absorb art and culture from different cities like - Guwahati, Singapore, Bangalore and now Bombay. Every city has given me a different perspective of myself and experiences to draw inspiration.

I am now extending my way into the music industry as a Singer/Songwriter with a vision to bring music and movement together through stories and unite people through emotions.
